How it works
- 1Open the recordDrop the PDF into the studio. It is read in your browser and never uploaded.
- 2Switch on the Healthcare presetThe six groups listed above start as proposed findings in yellow.
- 3Review every pageApprove each finding and draw boxes over identifiers the scan did not catch.
- 4Export and checkThe text under each box is removed and the output is searched for the redacted strings.
Where you still need a person
- Airgap Redact is not a certified de-identification tool and makes no compliance claim. Ask your compliance team whether it fits your policy.
- Some identifier types are not detected, for example photographs, biometric identifiers and rare conditions that point to one person.
- Scanned and handwritten records depend on on-device text recognition and need a careful read.
- The report confirms that the listed strings could not be extracted. It does not prove that everything sensitive was found.
