How to redact a PDF in five steps
- 1Open your PDFDrop it into the tool. It opens in your browser and stays on your device.

Before you trust a black box
A black rectangle is not a redaction.
Drawing a box over text only hides it visually. The words are still in the file, and anyone can select, copy or search for them. Real redaction deletes the text itself.
